Christian parents in the UK accuse a Church of England primary school of going against the Christian faith by indoctrinating young students with transgender ideology, claiming 3-year-olds may be ‘non-binary’.
Parents Calvin and Nicola Watts removed their three children from St. Michael’s Church of England primary school in Tenterden, Kent, earlier this year over the school’s alleged “trans indoctrination,” according to the Times. London.
The Wattses, represented by the Christian Legal Center in London, say their 8-year-old daughter was forced to watch a video at school about a children’s book called ‘It’s Good to Be Yourself: A Book About Gender Identity’, which is It was read by Nana Ceecee and written by Theresa Thorn, an American author whose daughter is said to be transgender.
The book explores the topic of children who are supposed to be “both a boy and a girl”, or “neither a boy nor a girl” or “non-binary” and tells readers, “Your gender identity may not match what people thought you were when you were born.”
CHURCH OF ENGLAND RECEIVES PETITION TO SCRAPP ‘DEEPLY HARMFUL AND WRONG’ TRANSGENDER GUIDE FOR CHILDREN
While having explained in writing their religious opposition to the “lessons that [normalized] LGBT Relationships,” the Watts say their daughter was shown the video without their knowledge or consent, according to a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
“When we discovered extreme transgender ideology being pushed onto our 8-year-old without our consent, we were shocked and horrified,” the Watts said. “We felt very disrespected and betrayed as we asked earlier this year that our children should not be exposed to any LGBT ideology.”
When meeting with the head teacher with their concerns, the Watts said they “have been described as ‘unloving,'” which they noted “couldn’t be further from the truth.”
CHRISTIAN PARENTS WON IN COURT AFTER SCHOOL LABELED 6-YEAR-OLD POTENTIALLY ‘TRANSPHOBIC’
“Our primary concern is for the well-being of our children and their classmates after being exposed to such harmful material. Once the concern was raised, the school’s priority, however, was to shut us down,” they said. “If you look at Nana Ceecee’s video, it can only be described as child abuse. It’s unscientific, has nothing to do with relationships, and encourages the idea that 3-year-olds can come out as non-binary to their parents.” .
CONSERVATIVE ANGLICANS WARNING CHURCH OF ENGLAND IS CREATING IN TRY TO REMAIN RELEVANT: ‘THE CHURCH IS DYING’
Stuart Reeves, CEO of the Tenterden Schools Trust which oversees the school, told Fox News Digital in a statement that he had met with Watts’ parents “to discuss their concerns in detail” and had “later spoken to our teaching staff to better understand the decisions that have been made in relation to the use of this particular resource.”
“While I understand Mr. and Mrs. Watts’ concerns, I have found no evidence to suggest that any particular ideology is promoted at this school. While we wouldn’t expect parents to see or approve of all of our educational resources, we appreciate the need to greater transparency and clarity on certain topics and will [endeavor] to achieve this in the future,” Reeves continued.
“We remain committed to creating a culture of openness and acceptance in our schools, where children feel free to speak up and ask questions knowing they will be supported and cared for,” Reeves added.
A spokesman for the Diocese of Canterbury also provided Fox News Digital with a copy of a letter Reeves sent to the Watts, in which he acknowledged that the subject “was not appropriate for all children”, while noting that there were two in the room qualified adults to answer any questions from the children when the video was shown.
“In view of the sensitive nature of the subject, it would have been best to check the suitability of the resource with the head teacher,” Reeves wrote.

LEADING CLERICS OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND KEEP SILENT ABOUT “TRANS” JESUS SERMON THAT FUELED THE INTERNATIONAL REACTION: “NO COMMENT”
“As a Christian myself, I look to the teachings of the Bible, and it is very clear on this matter. God made man and woman, [male] and feminine, and the Church of England has completely rejected the Bible,” Watts said.
“And basically what they’ve done is they’ve thrown out the Bible in exchange for politics, and that’s why they’re in such a mess, because their spine is completely gone. And the Bible sums it up really well: It says they have a form of deity, but they deny its power,” Watts continued, referring to the third chapter of Second Timothy.
“And that’s why secular people, as well as Bible-believing Christians, look at the church and say, what do you really stand for? And when are you really going to go back to the Bible that you claim to believe?” Watts added.
