The man cuts dad to pieces, throws pieces into the well in Bagalkot
The murder came to light after police questioned him based on the victim’s wife’s complaint
A 20-year-old man allegedly killed his father and cut the body into more than 14 pieces which he allegedly threw down an abandoned well late Monday night near Mudhol in Bagalkot district.
Vithal Kulali (20), the suspect, was arrested for brutally killing his father Parashuram Kulali (54), police said.
Vithal killed his father by hitting him repeatedly with an iron rod around midnight. He decided to cut up the body and throw the pieces into the well in his farmland near Mantur ring road, on the outskirts of Mudhol, as he feared he would be caught if he buried his body.
He told police his father often abused and attacked him while intoxicated. He could no longer bear the torture and killed him.
The murder came to light after police questioned him based on the victim’s wife’s complaint.
Police used an excavator and recovered the body parts.
